Aviation
Museum of Malta
Founded on November 1, 1994, its intention is to register
and preserve the inheritance of the Malta aviation. The
museum is planned to contain aeroplanes, devices and documentation
related to the rich aerial history of Malta and the Mediterranean
region.
The museum lodges around eight aeroplanes and five aeromotors
in different degrees of restoration. Other exposed objects
are the flight simulator and a David Brown tractor. The
museum archives grow thanks to the constant contributions,
mainly from the foreign. A permanent photographic exhibition
represents 80 years of aviation in Malta.
Another place worthy to visit is the models hall, that
includes one of the Short Sunderland hydroplane in Kalafrana,
Malta.
