War
Museum
The War Museum is located in Fort St. Elmo and contains
relics of World War I and II. The exhibits at the museum
include: the Italian Battleship captured during the attack
against the Grand Harbour on 26th July 1941, the Historic
Gloster Gladiator FAITH, fighter aircraft which fought
over Maltese skies in the early months of 1940, 10 large
showcases displaying generations of Navy, army and Air
Force uniforms, anti-aircraft searchlights, Bofors 40mm
anti-aircraft gun, Willy Jeeps used by both General Eisenhower
and President Roosevelt, 4 torpedoes, and an Italian Vickers
Terni 75mm gun captured in Sicily.
