Airports
Malta has only one international airport, the one at Luqa, 5 kilometers Southeast of Valletta, the capital of the island. It has bus services and taxis towards all the corners of the island.

Airplane
The Maltese flag airline is Air Malta. Other international companies with destiny in Malta are Aeroflot, Austrian Airlines, Alitalia, British Airways, Tuninter, Libyan Arab Airlines and Lufthansa.
There’s an alternative option to the ferry that covers the Malta-Gozo passage, whit a helicopters service.

Fluvial transport
The main ports of the island are Valletta, Marsaxlokk and Mgarr in Gozo. There are services that operate with the Sicilian ports of Catania, Pozzallo and Syracuse. These routes are covered by fast catamarans and ferries. Also there are services of passenger ferries between Cirkewwa (Malta) and Mgarr (Gozo).

Automobile
Must remember that Malta it’s a left hand driving country. The speed limits are 80 km/h in route and 50 km/h in residential zones.
Rent: the most important car rental companies are in Malta. The fares are among the cheapest in Europe. It obligatory an internationally valid driver's license.
