First day of school
On the first day of your course, the student should be at the school by 8:30 a.m. The students will be welcomed by our school staff on the first day of school. Students who have not taken the online test will take the test Monday morning at 9 a.m. Afterwards, there will be a welcome speech followed by assignments to the different classes. Students will then start with their first lesson. If students have taken the online test by 12:00 am on the last Friday before the course commencement, they will receive a letter when they check in telling them their teacher's name, classroom number, and the time of lessons.

This course allows students to have fun whilst learning English. The syllabus is based on the concept that role-plays, theatrical arts, and hands-on activities can be combined with English language learning to create the perfect synergy-fun, active, and expressive lessons that are both engaging and memorable. Skills which will be covered include brainstorming, teamwork, script writing, choreography, acting, filming, editing, vocal control, pronunciation etc. This course will benefit anyone who enjoys expressing themselves or has an open mind. We have fun and dynamic teachers who are very creative, but also give their learners space to be even more creative. Each lesson will also have a language focus related to the script or the task, ensuring that participants can also learn lots of useful English in parallel to the enjoyment of drama.

Our exam preparation courses are standard courses which focus on preparing you for specific exams. The structure is similar to that of standard courses, but with more of a long-term goal. This structure is ideal for students who prefer a more thorough, in-depth language course.
FCE (First Certificate in English): Recognises the ability to deal confidently with a range of written and spoken communications. Successful candidates will have a broad grasp of vocabulary and should be able to construct an argument and use appropriate communication styles for a variety of situations.
CAE (Certificate of Advanced English): This is an advanced exam, and is for learners who have reached a standard of English that is adequate for most purposes. Success at this level indicates the ability to use English effectively and perform confidently in social and professional situations, and in higher education.

The "International English Language Testing System", or IELTS, for short, is an English test that is recognised by more than 6,000 institutions and universities worldwide. The language test is used as proof of existing English language skills for work, study or travel.

With Sprachcaffe, students can achieve the language level and grade required to enter the university of their choice. To apply for our university placement, they require: an intermediate level of the language spoken at the university; all the necessary academic qualifications requested by the university for the course of your choice.
The University Pathways course is a full-time programme designed to help intermediate and advanced-level students prepare for further success in a Maltese college or university. Students not only develop their overall language skills but also focus on developing specific academic skills such as note taking, academic writing and reading, and individual presentations and group discussions.

Spinola Bay

Spinola Bay is a small sea bay with a small harbour and traditional colourful fishing boats. There are also many nice restaurants and bars here. You can also go swimming here for a small fee.
Valletta

Visit the beautiful city of Valletta, which is also the capital of Malta. Here you will find some beautiful sights such as St. John's Co-Cathedral. The old town is also worth seeing, as you can feel the charm of the old town here.

Explore the natural highlight in Malta: the unique Blue Grotto. It is a cave and the water has a beautiful blue colour. The colour comes from the blue-green algae that live in the water. You can explore the cave by boat.
Working in Malta
- Students are not allowed to work during their first 90 days in Malta whilst attending a course
- They can apply for an "employment licence" after they have obtained a study visa for the period beyond their first 90 day study visa
- Students need a job offer first and complete the application form together with their employer
- They must continue to attend their classes - minimum of 15 hours (20 lessons) per week
- Students are allowed to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week
- It is not possible to stop studying and only work during the entire stay
- If changing jobs/employer, the student has to apply for a new licence with their new employer
