First Day at School

This course provides students with the opportunity to develop business English skills such as email writing, presentations, telephoning, leading meetings and negotiations, as well as targeting specific vocabulary and collocations to the student's sector. After an initial 'needs analysis', the teacher will prepare a bespoke syllabus which will optimise the salience of the course to the student's actual life, making the content which is learned both practical and personal based on the specific context of the student. The elective course named "Job Applications & Interviews" is designed for students who have a specific need in finding a job. The course will cover vocabulary and functional language tailor-made to the working contexts or aspirations of the students on the course. It will also cover job-seeking aspects such as how to write a CV, how to have a successful interview and make a good first impression, as well as the more technical language needed to write emails, attend meetings and negotiate deals. This course allows students to grow in confidence when speaking to large groups and delivering professional or academic presentations. The design is based on the bespoke needs of the learners, who will have a needs analysis carried out by their teacher on their first day. Skills which will be covered include: introducing an agenda/overview, sign-posting, vocal projection, pronunciation, sentence stress and intonation, presentation design, concluding a presentation, body language while speaking in public or to large groups, interactive dynamics, Q&A management, etc. This course will benefit anyone who needs to do oral presentations in English for their work or study or speak in English to groups. This course allows students to have fun whilst learning English. The syllabus is based on the concept that role-plays, theatrical arts, and hands-on activities can be combined with English language learning to create the perfect synergy - fun, active, and expressive lessons that are both engaging and memorable. Skills which will be covered include brainstorming, teamwork, script writing, choreography, acting, filming, editing, vocal control, pronunciation etc. This course will benefit anyone who enjoys expressing themselves or has an open mind. We have fun and dynamic teachers who are very creative, but also give their learners space to be even more creative. Each lesson will also have a language focus related to the script or the task, ensuring that participants can also learn lots of useful English in parallel to the enjoyment of drama.

Teachers
We have a dedicated team of teachers; many of whom come from Malta, the UK, Australia and the US, all of whom are very well qualified and have a teaching permit from the ELT Council. Our teachers come from all walks of life. Apart from the teaching qualifications which everyone has, we have teachers with backgrounds in banking, psychology, law, and teacher training.

- Bistro: The Bistro is open from 08:00 to 00:00.The Bistro in the school is the ideal place for our students to have their meals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are offered, with drinks and snacks in-between. Students who have not booked meals in advance can also eat at the restaurant and pay directly in cash.

Club Village triple or double room




Club Village is a unique campus that not only includes many classrooms but also a large pool, beach volleyball court, a restaurant and a shaded garden. Students staying in the Club Village are accommodated on campus. Double or triple rooms are grouped into 'apartments': each apartment has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. A full board is included.

Homestay / triple or double room
Students can experience Maltese culture and practice their English by sharing a home with a host family. Students will have a triple or double room with a desk, and closet. They will also have most or all of their meals provided by the family (hot lunch on campus). All families have been visited by members of our school's staff and live in safe, comfortable neighbourhoods close to the school. Homestay families are located around 30 minutes from the Sprachcaffe school.

Leisure Activities
A language trip shouldn't be just about studying the language. It should also be about immersing yourself in the culture, people, and traditions of the country. This is why our educational trip in Malta includes a varied programme of activities outside the classroom such as horse riding, go-karting, bowling and shopping in the popular destination of Sliema. Every week, we also offer excursions where you can explore the vibrant capital Valletta, the Blue Lagoon of the neighbouring island Comino or the whole island with our famous 'Malta Tour'.
